When It Rains It Really Pours!

I have NOT watched E!News, The Wendy Williams Show and The Big Bang Theory in almost two months. No more cable in my neck of the hood. And, just when I thought my unabated anticipation for the return of a Korean drama to telly would offset this dismal state of affairs, my telly decided to throw in the towel. For what reason, I absolutely have no idea. Whoever said ‘when it rains it really pours’ got it right.
There is nothing I can do for any of these. I have to wait for my parents to get round to fixing everything whilst I go about finding myself a new phone. This is personal, so I can do. Otherwise; it is a sad lonely place in my neck of the hood. I read a little because I can’t spend the entire day on my laptop. These big eyes would soon give out on me too if I am not careful.
Leaving aside said dismal state of affairs, I’d like to say I am loving the new office digs. Yes. My next door neighbour is a guy whose office is a constant parade of fellow men. LOL. When I get bored being around my elders, I go chat with him and his friends (when they are around). Is it me or do all conversations with guys invariably lead to sex talk? Or do I spend a lot of time in male company? Hmmm…?
I enjoy listening to friends and family’s sex talk as long as there isn’t too much detail and visual for I don’t want to imagine you like that. Talks with friends made me believe I knew whats what but when it comes to these boys, dang!! Sex talk with them is enough to make even a saint blush! Seriously, any kind of talks with boys is a learning experience. You always learn something new. Enough of that! Before, I let on how depraved I am.
Huh…I miss my best friend. She’s off getting her life together which I am really proud of but it still doesn't make me stop missing her. The knowledge that she is off to parts unknown is disconcerting. Speaking of; one of my boys is going through a rough patch too with matters of the heart. Him going through this saddens me a bit because girls should be good to him. There is nothing more annoying than seeing one of the good guys you know go through rough patches with girls. Maybe it is time to take a break from the chase...

Wonderfully Metallic.

In the process of getting midnight plum taken off my toes, I decided to get a different manicure after a whole lot of convincing from the manicurist. I was going to leave them as plain as they usually are, so I thought, why not? It doesn’t hurt, right? Unless where the pocket is concerned.
My first choice when it came to choosing colors for the mani was a collection of multicolored sparkles with a clear varnish to top it off. Unfortunately, there were no multicolored sparkles. After perusing through the colors available, I settled on a gold varnish and on a whim an addition of silver sparkles to give it the cheerful look I originally wanted.

Whenever I get creatively inspired, I’m always sceptical and a little scared of how its going to turn out. Gold and Silver together rarely work but dang! I was pleasantly surprised by how metallic my nails turned out. I took a lot of pleasure in showing them off because the entire look was like rays of light filtering through colored broken glass. You know that kind of light around morning hours which makes the dust mites visible? Yeah, that’s the one. And sometimes the silver looks like little crystals on top of my nails.

Everyone that's seen them has been asking how I got it done. Honestly, all it takes is a bit of creativity and knowing what it is you want. Play around with colors and designs, there is nothing much to it. When I have a choice, I never leave the kind of nail polish color or design I want wear on my nails to the manicurists. They are the most uncreative people so far and they do the same design on almost all their clients. I am pretty sure, the person who did mine will suggest my idea to his other clients.

OK, before my head becomes bigger than it already is, what do you think of my creative streak? And what mani are you wearing?

Hair today Gone Tomorrow.

Before I had the insurmountable urge to cut my hair, I had gotten a weave on which lasted for only three weeks. Not that it was a bad weave, no. I was simply tired of everything that had to do with hair on my head. Imagine doing your hair for just three weeks then removing it. I always thought of it as a practice for the rich ladies and well, those in television…they can all afford it.

New Look.

If you happen to be an avid reader of my little bits and pieces, you’ll remember that I cut my back hair myself the time I first coloured it into my own version of a Dianna Agron inspired bob. I tried to maintain it despite the growth and what not. So, the last time I visited the Salon, I had all of it evened out and made shorter some more. My front hair is as short as the back and sides. Yes, no more side swept bangs or fringe which make my signature hair. I can still do it but it isn’t as long to look so fantastic like here.

Signature bangs

The upside of cutting it is; everyone tells me it has body now and looks fuller unlike before -this coming from me is strange because I am fond of telling my friends and aunt with really long hair how they’ll one day wake up and miss it when it fails to grow back! due to all the cutting. I have really straight and thin hair. The kind that makes you look bold when wet. I miss the fabulous bangs I would curl it into but not the length.

Ps: When you look at the ends of the first picture you'll notice how really short it is, even the signature bangs don't turn out as good like in the second picture.
